Our new seasonal menu

Whatever the time of year, we constantly evolve our menus and dishes to reflect the best of seasonal produce. We are proud to source meat and produce locally; including meat from Cannon Hall Farm (and our own secret receipe, handcrafted sausages made at Cannon Hall Farm), plus during Spring and Summer, many of the fruits and herbs are harvested right here from the grounds of the Spencer Arms. We have a diverse range of dishes on our new menu, so there's something for everyone! We hope you enjoy tasting some delicious new food throughout 2018 and you can view all our new menus below. Our Head Chef has introduced some delicious new seasonal dishes onto our a la carte menu and these are just a few of his favourites...

Pan-fried Seabass

Fried on a low heat in olive oil and lemon juice to give a crispy skin. Sautéed cabbage bacon and carrots mixed with creamy mashed potato to make a tasteful bubble and squeak, finished with a white wine and mussel veloute.

Confit Duck Leg

Duck cooked in oil with star anise bay leaf and clove for 3 hours until the meat falls off the bone, served with creamed mash, spiced red cabbage cooked in red wine, then served with a red wine reduction and juniper berries. Delicious!

Scotch Egg

Soft boiled egg covered in seasoned sausage meat then covered in bread crumbs, served with a sweet homemade piccalilli and homemade chorizo mayo. Melts in your mouth!

Dark Chocolate Brownie

Warm homemade chocolate brownie made with gluten free flour. The top is crunchy and the centre gooey to make sure it's the perfect dessert. Served with a sweet chocolate sauce and delicious vanilla ice cream. So good.
