Whatever the time of year, we constantly evolve our menus and dishes to reflect the best of seasonal produce. We are proud to source meat and produce locally; including meat from Cannon Hall Farm (and our own secret receipe, handcrafted sausages made at Cannon Hall Farm), plus many of the fruits and herbs have been harvested from right here on the grounds of the Spencer Arms. We have expanded our entire menu, offering more fish dishes, more choice for our vegetarian diners, an ever changing 'specials' board and even a selection of nibbles and grazings to accompany our range of fine wines and hand pulled real ales.

Having worked as a chef for well over eighteen years, I have developed a genuine passion for local produce and cookery. We firmly believe that cooking seasonally is the best way to celebrate the best of British. We always try our utmost to support the local economy and businesses by championing local farms, suppliers and producers, allowing us to work with some of the best ingredients that Yorkshire and Britain has to offer.
A South East Asian flavour combination really helps to highlight the natural sweetness of both of these prized ingredients. Delicately spiced to really offer a light option.
Salmon & Aspargus
Asparagus always reminds me that summer is nearly here. The classic poached egg & hollandaise combination refined with our own beetroot cured salmon and native asparagus really gets me excited about the sunny warmer afternoons to come!
This little salad is packed full of superfoods from; quinoa, berries, nuts, seeds & kale. A real taste explosion with the knowledge that it is also packed full of nutrients. Who said healthy can’t be exciting.
Lemon Meringue Panna Cotta
The classic lemon meringue pie is given a slight redux with this light, zesty and moreish dessert. It is a great way to finish your meal with a clean palette and great textures.
